Welcome to my third pregnancy! I went from having two children 8 years apart to signing up for the “Two under Two club”. Life is happening over here and I’m blissfully taking it all in. For my previous pregnancies I had the privilege of growing in the colder months and giving birth right before Summer. You probably already figured out by reading this in July, that I am baking this bun in a real NY oven. However the bright side to this is that I get to flaunt my growing belly in cute clothes. Here are a few summer dress styles I have been loving during my pregnancy.
The peplum mini dress
This style dress is one of my favorite, I actually wash and wear this one pretty often. I purchase it from Asos petite line (however they do make it in maternity wear). Baby doll style shirts and peplum dresses are a win for pregnancy, they’re fitted around your new assets and looser around your growing belly.
The spaghetti Midi
Reasons why this works for me, is that I love a multi-purpose piece of clothing. When buying actual maternity wear it can get so pricey. I love to shop but lets be serious my body is changing constantly. Most likely it will return to its original form a few months after the baby is born. This type of body change does not call for those super pricey maternity pieces. Finding something you can switch up to look different is key. In this case its my spaghetti Midi, I can wear a top over it creating a high waist and tee look or wear it on its own. This one was found on Boo Hoo Maternity.
The classic Midi
Ok I honestly just had to throw this in. I LOVE this midi dress I found on Boohoo.com I feel extremely put together when wearing it. The button detail is just perfect for a classic piece. The best part of this dress is that it can and in my case will transition into the fall. The color is spot of for the autumn season that I absolutely am ready for. Actually that’s a lie besides the cooler weather it will rain a lot and my son goes back to school. Alarm clocks, homework, and packing school lunch…yeah No!
