Allergy season is upon us; however, it’s more of a year-round problem for me. I suffer from allergies to both pollen and dust. That means it doesn’t matter if I am inside or outside; there’s an allergy trigger somewhere. When I was a teen, I wrote it off as “I’m getting a cold,” and I would deal with it. AKA, sleep it off.
As an adult with three children and a busy work schedule, I can’t “sleep it off.” Therefore getting knocked down from my allergies is not an option. No sick days for mommy; I know some of you feel those words on a deep level. Children don’t understand mommy is still in bed.

I am also in my second year of taking gardening seriously, which means I had to become one with the pollen… I can’t avoid it anymore. Garden season goes together with allergy season. I finally decided it’s time to learn more about environmental allergies and control them.
The next step is seeking out a specialist to learn more, I have too much on my plate, and I can’t have my allergies slowing me down. If you feel like I do and find that your symptoms are just getting in the way of a full life, visit AllergyHomeFree.com.
I wanted to share five beauty tips and tricks on how you can put your best face forward during an allergy attack.
- Moisturizing Eye Patch
I love using an eye patch all the time but especially when my allergies have my eyes dry and puffy.
- Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Using hyaluronic acid really moisturizes dehydrated skin. If you find that the skin around your nose is dry, use this, you will love it.
- Blue everything!
Use a blue eyeliner and or mascara to brighten the whites of your eyes.
- H2O Proof your look
Use a waterproof liner and mascara, this will help if your eyes are watery during allergy season.
- Moisturize your lips
My lips tend to feel drier when I am having an allergy attack, thanks to breathing from my mouth, ugh. Using a moisturizing lip balm or gloss really helps.

I hope this helps; I know how tough it is not to enjoy the beautiful weather. Please look into speaking with a specialist to help you take control of your environmental allergies.
